TooSerious hits 2000.

That's right, sometime between now and yesterday, TooSerious had it's 2000th account signed up.

Which is what, 1 percent (roughly) of the combined Supercoach/Dreamteam users... taking into account doubles and stuff...

Which is pretty swish I reckon.

So thank you all for all the support, for the messages, and now with the blog, for the Comments.

Bray, You're a star on the Blog mate. Burley and N.Cee, glad your here...

And just a sneak peak for you all, on some of the soon-to-be-release functionality to TooSerious.

1. Premium DT tab, set up your PDT team into TooSerious. Not just that, but you'll be able to set up the other teams and allocate players to them...
2. Game pages. No, not live updates, but everything you'll need for captain/bench selections - Highest scorers for the teams playing, Team-average-against, weather reports and more, all in the one spot to make your captain selections that much more informed.

and other stuff... ooohh, other.. .:D

New Posters.

Howdy all, just a quick update to introduce a couple of new faces to the TooSerious family.

Firstly, we have the big, the bad, the burly, Big Bad Burley. A self confessed stat junkie, and someone who definitely takes Dreamteam too seriously. I imagine his posts will be both informative and I myself are looking forward to reading them. (Which you can do yourself in the Dreamteam forum, go say hi! )

Our other new poster, Nathan, who hails from the Supercoach side of things, will be writing columns with more of a Supercoach slant. I look forward to reading his reviews, as well as a Supercoach Captains thread. Which should be be good reading.

So pop in, drop a comment to say Hi (Cause yanno, we get paid in hugs and comment here), and enjoy what these guys have to say.

Jarrad to Waite on sidelines.

Jarrad Waite is facing a one game ban for striking Fremantle's Chris Manye. While, Sam Mitchell will play for your fantasy team this week, but his Brownlow hopes might be gone - he has been offered 93.75. Nath Jones and Pavlich copped a fine. Not a heap happened on the injury front on the weekend. Symes and Ottens could be back this week.

Fan Footy - Live Scoring Changes.

Everyone loves FanFooty's live scoring, well not as much as our DT Talk boys. But, it is a sensational site. This is breaking news and has been first reported on TooSerious. It even looks like FanFooty hasn't even announced it but their live scoring has got some sweet new icons. Some I'm not even sure what they mean, but theres no doubt we will find out on the weekend.

But, have a look at the at a couple from last week: Carl Vs Bris, Cats Vs Tigers. And, just change the number in the URL around to look at more.

Round 9: Teams.

Two massive returns this week with Chad Cornes and Nick Riewoldt named on the ground. Will they play though? Josh Fraser and Stokes have both returned for the Friday Night clash. NLM, McPhee, Dyson and Watson are big ins for Essendon, but out goes Houli Douli with a virus (a must downgrade to Cotchin or Wellingham - both named), Laydick, Mal Micheal and Rama. Tigers go tall with Pattison and Schulz back. Out goes Nicoski, but still no Scott Selwood. Instead two new blokes in Tim Houlihan and Beau Wilkies and last weeks debutant Ryan Davis named again. Alot of fresh blood at West Coast. Geary might return for St. Kilda, he is named on the extended bench. So, does a bunch of other players for the Sunday games except a highly rated ruckman in John Messen who still hasn't got a gig even though Jamar has been axed. Valenti holds his spot.

Chadwick Returns.

Sounds like the big boy is back this week. You got him? Or one of those that bailed?

Anyway, we will find out officially in about 1 hour. Stay tuned.

A belated round 8 update.

Howdy all, welcome to round 8.

Sorry this post is so late, I've been up on blocks for the last few days, the details of which I won't go into here...

anyways, what I wanted to discuss with you all today was Ruckmen.

I mean, we've all got Cox as our #1. The man is a machine, averaging 118 (105 DT) for the year.

The harder part is the #2... Now, I'm going to start talking SC for a moment here...

49,554 coaches have taken a stab on Simmonds, and with an average of 67, might be feeling disapointed (fear not though, he has still made you 99k)
While other coaches have gone the "safer" approaches in:
White: 7,107 (96 ave)
Sandilands: 20,933 (100 ave)

However, the #2 ruck I want to talk about today seems to have slipped under a lot of peoples radars, being selected by 3,320 coaches.

Darren Jolly. Currently the 4th highest average in SC rucks, also holds the 2nd highest average over the past 5 weeks (108). And until last weeks 156 would have been slipping under most people's radars (I know I was hoping too pick him up cheap in the Premium DT League!)

Take a look at the below figures (and graph), Jolly, outside his 18, has been performing outstandingly. Obviously, two weeks ago, when he dropped of his 18 was the perfect time to pick him up, but he'll be holding his 156 for 2 more weeks, and on current form (108 ave), won't be dropping below 500k any time soon. An excellent posibility for those thinking of upgrading Simmonds.

Neitz retires, Kennelly OK.

Yes, as you all know by now that David Neitz has annouced his retirement to footy. Although it is a sad day to see a legend not ever play a final game, it does mean for us fantasy coaches that Valenti is likey to hold his spot. So, downgrading Gamble, Tippett and even Rioli is a good bet this week or next.

In some good news Tadhg Kennelly might only miss one week. Unless you are really struggling with your backs (like alot are), Tadgh should be fine on your bench for the 1-2 weeks. There are trading options though in Gilbee and Milburn, who are pretty well priced at the moment.

Injuries: Round 8.

This has been one of the best weekend's injury wise all year but the ones the few that there were are backmen. Which is no real surprise this season. Brent Guerra done his hammy in Q2 and would guess he will miss 3 weeks. Alan Obst, the debutant for the Roo's is was out for the game with a Hip injury. Not sure how bad it is, but I wouldn't worry to much cause he would have just been dropped next week. Cause Dean Laidley is a poof only play rookies for a couple of games to tease us. Haha. Tadgh Kennely is the big one from the weekend with a dislocated knee, and the last time he had this injury he missed 9 weeks - it was the other knee that time. But he looked in a huge amount of pain and actually vomitted when he came off the ground. Sam Mitchell got streched off, but came back on and will be fine. Jared Brennan has a quad injury but not to sure how bad it is cause he did come back on when it looked like he was gone for the game. Stay tuned for more information as it comes to hand.

Teams: Round 8.

Some massive out's this week include the likes of Rooey, Goose, Fraser, Hodge, Watson (all injuried) and 3 cash cows in SD Thompson, Proudie and Jacky have all been dropped. Doesn't help those with the back problems. But, some massive in's including Steven King, Bowden (maybe), Ablett, Black, Brown, McVeigh and the unbelievable Malceski. But, anyone that has Mattner and is worrying about Ceski's return, I can't see him going back to his running back role yet and he won't get much TOG. Also, some exciting new kids have been named in Obst (North), Davis (West Coast) and Valenti (Melbourne)
